How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Marketing Assistant

    Location: Hull (HU7)
    Salary: 25k-27k DOE
    Contract: Fixed-Term Contract until February 2027, with potential for extension
    Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm | Friday 7:30am - 2:00pm
    Working Arrangement: Fully Site-Based

    About the Opportunity

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Assistant to join a well-established Hull-based business operating within the supply and distribution sector.

    This role would suit someone with some previous marketing experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a busy and supportive environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the company's marketing activities, helping to strengthen brand awareness and engage with customers across a variety of channels.

    This is initially a fixed-term contract until February 2027, although there may be the opportunity for the contract to be extended for the right person.

    Key Responsibilities

    Supporting the delivery of marketing initiatives and campaigns.
    Creating and managing content across social media platforms.
    Assisting with website updates and digital content.
    Producing marketing materials to support business objectives.
    Helping to maintain and strengthen the company's brand presence.
    Monitoring engagement and performance across marketing channels.
    Supporting internal communications and promotional activities.
    Working closely with various departments to understand and promote products and services.
    Assisting with general marketing administration as required.

    About You

    The ideal candidate will have:

    Previous experience within a marketing role.
    Experience managing social media platforms in a professional capacity.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
    A creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content.
    Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
    The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

    Desirable

    Experience using a design software.
    Basic knowledge of digital marketing principles.
    Experience updating website content.
    A relevant marketing qualification.
