How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Sapein is recruiting a Senior Electronics Engineer to join a specialist engineering organisation based in Yateley. Operating within a highly technical, safety-critical environment, you'll play a key role in the design, development, testing, and support of advanced electronic systems.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electronics engineer with a strong background in analogue and digital circuit design, embedded systems, and hardware development.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Design, develop, and test analogue and digital electronic circuits.

    * Develop low-power hardware solutions and validate designs using simulation tools.

    * Produce schematics, PCB designs (Altium or equivalent), and technical documentation.

    * Support the full product lifecycle from concept through to production.

    * Provide technical support for manufacturing, testing, and fault finding.

    * Develop and debug embedded C software, with some exposure to C++.

    * Ensure designs comply with EMC and relevant industry standards.

    * Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver projects.

    Essential Experience

    * Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

    * Proven experience in analogue and digital electronics design.

    * PCB design experience using Altium Designer or similar.

    * Embedded C programming experience.

    * Knowledge of EMC principles and electronic design for compliance.

    * Experience producing technical documentation.

    * Background working in a regulated engineering or manufacturing environment.

    Desirable Experience

    * Experience within defence, aerospace, marine, automotive, or other safety-critical industries.

    * Knowledge of low-power electronic design.

    * Exposure to C++ and object-oriented programming.

    * Experience supporting products through the full development lifecycle, from design to manufacture
