How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Marketing Assistant

    Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
    Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
    Job Type: Full-Time 

    Are you a creative, organised and enthusiastic marketing professional looking for your next opportunity? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in St Albans who are looking to add a Marketing Assistant to their team.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive business where you'll play a key role in delivering marketing campaigns, creating engaging content and supporting the wider business with a variety of marketing initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
    Create and schedule engaging content for social media platforms.
    Assist with website updates and ensure content remains accurate and relevant.
    Design and produce marketing materials including brochures, presentations, email campaigns and promotional literature.
    Coordinate marketing projects and liaise with external suppliers where required.
    Support the planning and organisation of exhibitions, events and promotional activities.
    Monitor campaign performance and produce reports to measure success.
    Maintain brand consistency across all marketing communications.
    Provide general marketing and administrative support to the wider team.

    Skills & Experience

    Previous experience within a marketing role.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content.
    Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software would be advantageous.
    Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS) is desirable.
    Creative, proactive and detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and develop.
