How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Continuous Improvement & Business Development Manager

    Salary: £42,000–£44,000 (following successful probation) + Performance-Related Bonus

    Are you an experienced engineering professional with a passion for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence? We're looking for a Continuous Improvement & Business Development Manager to join our growing team and play a key role in shaping the future of our manufacturing operations.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong engineering background who thrives on identifying opportunities, implementing change, and delivering measurable business improvements.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives across the business, tracking progress and reporting directly to the senior management team.

    * Drive operational and business development projects in collaboration with senior leadership to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall business performance.

    * Identify, develop, and implement process and method improvements throughout the organisation.

    * Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to support process optimisation and problem-solving.

    * Champion a safe working environment, ensuring full compliance with company Health & Safety policies and 5S standards.

    About You

    * Proven experience in Continuous Improvement and Business Development within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

    * A strong engineering background is essential, with the ability to understand manufacturing processes and implement effective improvements.

    * Aerospace sheet metal experience is highly desirable, although candidates with relevant engineering experience from similar sectors will also be considered.

    * Able to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

    * Excellent commercial awareness with strong analytical, computer, communication, and leadership skills.

    * A proactive, results-driven individual with a proven track record of delivering operational improvements and business growth.
