How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer
    Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire
    Salary/Benefits: £27k - £36k + Training & Benefits

    Due to continued company growth, a well-known name within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry is seeking a reliable Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team. You must be confident in undertaking a range of duties, including (but not limited to): showerhead descales, TMV servicing, water sampling and temperature monitoring. It is preferred that candidates will have experience across a varied portfolio of contracts, as you will be expected to hit the ground running, servicing commercial, domestic and public sector premises. Salaries and benefits on offer are competitive.

    We can consider candidates from: Oxford, Abingdon, Bicester, Witney, Didcot, Wallingford, Wantage, Thame, Aylesbury, Tring, High Wycombe, Chesham, Amersham, Beaconsfield, Marlow, Maidenhead, Slough, Reading, Ascot, Bracknell, Faringdon, Brackley, Banbury, Buckingham, Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard, Luton, St Albans, Harpenden, St Albans.

    Experience / Qualifications:
    - Proven record working as a Water Hygiene Engineer
    - Fully conversant in HSG 274 and ACOP L8 guidelines
    - Ideally will have industry related training courses (e.g. TMVs, Cleans and Disinfections)
    - Good interpersonal skills
    - Proficient in using IT software
    - Good literacy and numeracy skills

    The Role:
    - Showerhead descales
    - TMV servicing and maintenance
    - Inspections, cleans and disinfections on tanks
    - Calorifier inspections
    - Flushing on little used outlets
    - Routine water sampling and temperature monitoring
    - Keeping accurate records of works undertaken
    - Representing the company in a professional manner
