Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Bolton area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children across the primary age range and making a positive impact on their learning and development.

Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will provide classroom support across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.

This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, a recent graduate considering a career in education, or someone with transferable experience working with children in a childcare, youth work or coaching setting.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting class teachers with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons across all primary year groups.
Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence.
Assisting with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy interventions where required.
Helping to prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment.
Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting children's social and emotional development.
Providing additional support for pupils with SEND when appropriate.
Supervising pupils during classroom activities and around the school day.
Following safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety policies at all times.

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting.
Is enthusiastic, patient and adaptable.
Can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
Is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
