The Company

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Winchester office of a well-established, employee-focused multidisciplinary consultancy with an outstanding reputation for delivering innovative engineering and design solutions across the UK.

The business provides integrated consultancy services across the built environment, delivering projects from concept through to completion. Their Building Services division works across a diverse portfolio of sectors including defence, healthcare, education, residential, commercial, retail and leisure, providing sustainable and technically innovative Mechanical and Electrical engineering solutions.

The Winchester team is well-established and highly successful, delivering a variety of technically challenging projects ranging from high-rise residential developments and premium housing schemes through to healthcare, defence, security and large-scale commercial projects.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their collaborative MEP team, providing technical expertise across a wide range of projects while continuing to develop their engineering career.

The Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work as part of an experienced Building Services team, delivering high-quality Electrical designs from project inception through to completion.

You will be responsible for producing detailed Electrical design solutions, working closely with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered to the highest technical standards.

Responsibilities

Deliver Electrical Building Services designs across a range of sectors.
Produce Electrical design calculations and technical documentation.
Develop designs using industry-standard software including CAD and Revit.
Use specialist software including Amtech, Dialux and Relux.
Attend client meetings and liaise with project stakeholders.
Present designs for stage reviews and technical peer reviews.
Undertake condition surveys and produce technical reports.
Carry out third-party design reviews where required.
Manage projects from inception through to completion.
Work collaboratively with Mechanical Engineers, architects, contractors and other consultants.
Ensure designs comply with current legislation, Building Regulations and industry standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers.
Requirements

Experience within an Electrical Building Services Design role.
Consultancy or contractor design experience.
Strong technical knowledge of Electrical Building Services systems.
Experience producing Electrical calculations and specifications.
Proficiency with software including Amtech, Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD and Revit.
Experience working across a range of sectors.
Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Ideally Chartered Engineer status or working towards CEng.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
A proactive approach with a desire to continue developing professionally.
