Working alongside experienced project teams, you will be responsible for setting out, quality assurance, technical support and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out and surveying for a range of civil engineering activities.
- Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Producing and maintaining accurate QA records, as-built surveys and site documentation.
- Supporting the Site Agent and Project Manager with daily engineering activities.
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring technical compliance across the project.
- Resolving engineering and construction issues on site.
- Promoting the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance.
Project Experience Required
Candidates should have demonstrable experience delivering major civil engineering projects within the water, utilities or heavy infrastructure sectors, including several of the following:
- Large diameter pipeline installation.
- Deep drainage and gravity sewer construction.
- Cofferdam installation and temporary works.
- Shaft sinking and deep excavation works.
- Construction of buried reinforced concrete structures.
- Reinforced concrete works and associated formwork.
- Earthworks and heavy civil engineering.
- Water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on major civils projects.
- Competent with setting out equipment including Leica or Trimble GPS/Total Stations.
- Strong understanding of QA processes, ITPs and as-built records.
- CSCS Card (essential).
- SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence
