We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in Derby that is looking to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic Commercial Manager to play a key role in the future success of the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional who can bring fresh ideas, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to an already successful commercial team.

The Role

Initially, you'll spend time developing a thorough understanding of the business, its customers, products, and commercial operations. Once established, you'll take on a pivotal leadership role, supporting the Head of Commercial while leading and developing a team of five Commercial Executives.

You'll also manage key customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and help shape the future commercial strategy of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and support a team of Commercial Executives.
Work closely with the Head of Commercial to drive business growth and continuous improvement.
Manage and develop relationships with key customer accounts, delivering exceptional service.
Meet with customers face-to-face to strengthen partnerships and identify growth opportunities.
Oversee new customer onboarding.
Review customer account activity and websites to identify commercial opportunities.
Support the team with performance management and HR-related matters.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through strategic account management.
Contribute to the ongoing development of commercial processes and business performance.
About You

We're looking for someone who is energetic, commercially driven, and ready to make a genuine impact.

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Account Management role.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, support and inspire a team.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
A confident, professional, and well-presented approach.
A self-motivated attitude with the ability to hit the ground running.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Experience within the furniture or wholesale industry would be highly advantageous.
A passion for building lasting customer relationships and identifying commercial opportunities.
