How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    WE Talent is supporting an established and growing engineering and construction business in the search for an experienced Head of Project Delivery to lead the successful delivery of projects across the UK.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a senior operational leader with a strong background in construction project delivery to take ownership of a busy delivery function, leading both office-based and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest quality standards.

    Alongside day-to-day operational management, you'll play a key role in driving continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiency and support the ongoing growth of the business.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead the successful delivery of multiple live construction projects across the UK.

    * Manage and support site supervisors, operatives and subcontractors.

    * Oversee project planning, programming and resource allocation.

    * Manage labour, plant and operational scheduling.

    * Lead and develop the Project Delivery and Pre-Construction teams.

    * Ensure health & safety, quality assurance and company procedures are consistently maintained.

    * Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery.

    * Work collaboratively with the engineering team to resolve technical queries.

    * Monitor project progress, providing operational updates to senior leadership.

    * Drive operational improvements and implement best practice across the delivery function.

    About You

    We're looking for an experienced operational leader who enjoys managing complex projects and motivating high-performing teams.

    You'll bring:

    * Significant experience within construction project delivery.

    * Proven experience managing multiple live projects simultaneously.

    * Strong leadership experience across both office-based and site teams.

    * Excellent planning, organisational and resource management skills.

    * Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

    * A sound understanding of health & safety, quality assurance and construction best practice.

    * The confidence to make operational decisions while working collaboratively with technical teams.

    * A full UK driving licence.

    What's on Offer?

    * Salary of £70,000 - £75,000 per annum

    * Annual performance bonus of up to 10%

    * Company vehicle

    * Company pension

    * Annual salary reviews

    * A senior leadership opportunity within a growing and ambitious business where you'll have the autonomy to shape project delivery and make a real impact.
