How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities:
    Recruitment consultants to provide a vital link between clients and candidates. The role is demanding and diverse and involves: using sales, business development, marketing techniques and networking to attract business from client companies; visiting clients to build and develop relationships;
    developing a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do, plus their work culture and environment; advertising vacancies by drafting and placing adverts in a range of media, for example internal and external websites; using social media to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships with candidates and employers;
    headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work to work for the companies clients; using candidate databases to match the right person to the client's vacancy;
    receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and tests and creating a shortlist of candidates for the client; requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before submitting their details to the client; briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job in question; preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients regarding of suitable applicants; organising interviews for candidates as requested by the client;
    informing candidates about the results of their interviews; negotiating pay and salary rates and finalising arrangements between client and candidates; offering advice to both clients and candidates on pay rates, training and career progression; working towards and exceeding targets that may relate to the number of candidates placed, a value to be billed to clients or business leads generated;
    reviewing recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programmes.
    Clients:
    ·Identification of potential clients via sales calls to understand their requirements, & to develop an understanding of their business to provide advice on market conditions.
    ·Advising clients on Resource's ability to meet requirements
    ·Complete required documentation within our business for engagement with clients.
    ·Management of clients through recruitment process in line with our company guidelines.
    ·Business development an account management.
    ·Providing a efficient on call service and having the ability to meet the clients requirements.
    Miscellaneous:
    ·Improving your own and the teams knowledge
    ·Improving your own sales and candidate management skills
    ·Deliver high standards of written communication, verbal, reasoning, numerical and inductive (ability to deal with ambiguous data).
    ·Develop analysis and problem solving skills
    ·Identify the goals of any project and work steadily towards them
    ·Able to take a structured and methodical approach to any task, identifying priorities and setting deadlines.
