How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

As the IT Project and Change Manager, you will provide structure, control, and momentum across the IT project and change portfolio, ensuring business demand is captured, assessed, prioritised, and progressed through appropriate governance.

You will maintain clear visibility of work in progress, project status, dependencies, risks, decisions, and priorities, helping IT and the business understand what is being delivered, what is constrained, and what requires action. The role will support effective prioritisation, controlled delivery, and transparent reporting across business-as-usual change, transformation activity, and formal project delivery.

Working closely with the Group IT and Security Director, IT leadership team, project sponsors, business stakeholders, and suppliers, you will help ensure change is managed professionally from initial request through to delivery, adoption, service transition, and closure.

    Project Portfolio, WIP and Governance

    * Maintain a clear and accurate view of IT work in progress, including project status, ownership, priorities, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and next actions.

    * Manage the IT project and change pipeline, ensuring demand is captured, qualified, prioritised, and progressed through agreed governance.

    * Translate stakeholder input into structured project briefs, requirements, business cases, decision papers, and delivery plans.

    * Coordinate governance forums, ensuring agendas, actions, decisions, risks, and escalations are prepared, recorded, tracked, and communicated.

    * Apply practical pipeline governance, including demand intake, triage, impact assessment, prioritisation, sponsor validation, resource review, approval checkpoints, and movement between pipeline stages.

    * Provide consistent portfolio reporting to support decisions on priorities, resource demand, delivery confidence, constraints, and business impact.

    * Identify and escalate delivery risks, resource conflicts, scope changes, and unresolved decisions to maintain control and momentum.

    Stakeholder Management and Business Engagement

    * Build trusted working relationships with business stakeholders, project sponsors, operational teams, IT colleagues, and third-party suppliers.

    * Act as a structured conduit between the business and IT, turning business needs into clear requirements and agreed next steps.

    * Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, progress reviews, and governance meetings to clarify scope, agree priorities, and resolve blockers.

    * Manage stakeholder expectations through clear communication on progress, constraints, decisions required, risks, and outcomes.

    * Ensure communications are timely, proportionate, and tailored for senior leaders, project teams, operational users, and technical audiences.

    Project Delivery and Change Management

    * Plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects and change initiatives from initiation through to delivery and closure.

    * Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, action trackers, decision logs, communication plans, and progress reports.

    * Coordinate internal resources, external suppliers, and business stakeholders to ensure activities are aligned, sequenced, and delivered to agreed expectations.

    * Support impact assessment, readiness planning, communications, training coordination, adoption activity, and post-implementation review.

    * Track benefits, lessons learned, and continuous improvement opportunities arising from project and change activity.

    Controls, Risk and Service Transition

    * Adhere to IT change management, information security, data protection, procurement, and governance requirements.

    * Ensure changes are assessed for risk, business impact, supportability, security, compliance, and operational readiness before implementation.

    * Maintain control over scope, approvals, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and change control throughout the project lifecycle.

    * Coordinate supplier activity, ensuring external partners understand requirements, dependencies, timelines, standards, and expected outcomes.

    * Ensure documentation, knowledge transfer, support handover, ownership, and service acceptance are completed before projects or changes are formally closed.

    Documentation, Reporting and Knowledge Management:

    * Create and maintain project briefs, delivery plans, RAID logs, decision logs, action trackers, governance packs, and closure reports.

    * Produce clear management information on portfolio health, WIP, progress, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and delivery confidence.

    * Document process flows, change impacts, acceptance criteria, support models, and service transition requirements.

    * Ensure project and change documentation is accurate, accessible, version controlled, and suitable for technical and non-technical audiences.

    * Support knowledge base articles, communications, training materials, handover documents, lessons learned, and continuous improvement records
