MET Technician (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim)

Location: Northampton

Salary: £23.00-£26.00 per hour (£52,000 basic OTE £56,000+)

Hours: Full-Time | 42.5 Hours per Week

We are currently looking for an experienced MET Technician to join a well-established, manufacturer-approved accident repair centre in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern workshop using the latest repair technology alongside an experienced and supportive team.

The Role

As an MET Technician, you will play a key role in returning damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition by carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim work to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components prior to panel repairs.
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repair work.
Ordering and fitting replacement parts.
Reassembling vehicles to manufacturer specifications.
Carrying out geometry and wheel alignment work.
Completing ADAS calibration and diagnostic work using state-of-the-art equipment.
Ensuring all work meets manufacturer and safety standards.
Working collaboratively with the wider bodyshop team to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
What We're Looking For

Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician or Vehicle Technician.
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
Experience with vehicle diagnostics, geometry and ADAS systems is advantageous.
A conscientious individual with excellent attention to detail.
Someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work.
A team player who is eager to learn and develop new skills.
ATA accreditation or NVQ qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
