The Role
As SENDCO, you will:
* Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school
* Manage EHCPs, Annual Reviews, and statutory SEND processes
* Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality inclusive practice
* Support pupils with a range of additional needs to achieve their full potential
* Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies
* Contribute to whole-school improvement and inclusion strategies
* Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation
* Monitor and evaluate the progress of pupils with SEND, implementing effective interventions where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* The National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it)
* Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice
* Experience working within a primary school setting
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* A child-centred and solution-focused approach
* A passion for creating an inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed
