How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Premier Education is working with a number of specialist schools and alternative provisions across Manchester that are looking for committed SEND Teachers to join them on long-term placements.

These aren't day-to-day supply roles. We're recruiting for schools looking to invest in teachers who want to become part of their team, with many positions leading to permanent contracts.

Whether you already have SEN experience or you're a mainstream teacher ready for a new challenge, we'll match you with a setting where you can thrive.

    About the schools

Our partner schools support children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, including:

    Autism (ASC)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
    ADHD
Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Moderate, Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties
Complex medical and physical needsEvery school is different, but they all share the same goal - creating calm, structured environments where pupils feel safe, understood and able to succeed.

You'll be joining experienced teams who understand that progress looks different for every child and celebrate every achievement, no matter how small.

    The role

As a SEN Teacher, you'll create engaging, personalised learning experiences that meet pupils' individual needs and help them develop academically, socially and emotionally.

    Responsibilities include:

    Planning and delivering differentiated lessons
    Working towards EHCP outcomes
Building positive relationships with pupils and families
Supporting communication, independence and emotional regulation
Working closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and SENCOs
Monitoring progress and adapting learning to meet individual needs
Creating a positive, nurturing classroom environment

    Why choose Premier Education?

    £150 - £220 per day
Long-term placements with the opportunity to secure a permanent role
    Primary and Secondary specialist settings
Smaller class sizes with excellent classroom support
Schools with experienced leadership teams and established SEN practices
Dedicated consultant who understands specialist education
Weekly PAYE pay with no umbrella company

    Qualified Teachers (QTS or QTLS)
    Experienced SEND Teachers
Mainstream Primary or Secondary Teachers looking to move into specialist education
Teachers with experience supporting pupils with ASC, SEMH, ADHD or complex needs
Compassionate, resilient professionals who build positive relationships with young peopleMost importantly, we're looking for teachers who are patient, adaptable and committed to helping every pupil reach their potential.

    Locations

Long-term opportunities are available across specialist schools and SEND provisions throughout Manchester, with excellent transport links from Salford, Trafford, Stockport, Tameside, Oldham and Bury.

    Why teachers choose specialist education

Many teachers tell us they enjoy SEND education because it allows them to:

Focus on individual progress rather than data targets
    Build meaningful relationships with pupils
