How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Company

    Our client is a well-established HVAC specialist with approximately 40 to 50 live contracts across London and the South East. They provide a full range of HVAC and mechanical services, working across commercial air conditioning, refrigeration, heat pumps, chillers and ventilation systems.

    Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Air Source Heat Pump Engineer to their expanding team.

    The Role

    This is a mobile position covering commercial sites across London. The majority of their current contracts are located throughout North West and South London, with occasional travel to Essex for training or business requirements.

    The role will include:

    Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

    Reactive maintenance and breakdowns

    Fault finding and diagnostics

    Service visits and remedial works

    Pressure testing

    Refrigerant recovery and degassing

    Replacing faulty components

    Completing detailed service reports

    Liaising professionally with clients on site

    You'll be working across a wide range of commercial HVAC equipment including:

    Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)

    VRV/VRF systems

    Air Conditioning

    Chillers

    Air Handling Units (AHUs)

    Commercial refrigeration systems

    The business predominantly works with:

    Daikin

    Mitsubishi Electric

    Carrier

    What They're Looking For

    Essential

    Proven experience working on Air Source Heat Pumps

    Strong commercial HVAC service and maintenance background

    F-Gas qualified

    Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills

    Full UK Driving Licence

    Desirable (Not Essential)

    Commercial Gas qualifications (Gas Safe registered)

    Experience with commercial refrigeration systems

    As you'll be representing the company on customer sites, you'll also be:

    A confident communicator

    Professional and customer-focused

    Able to produce clear and accurate service reports

    Training & Development

    The company is committed to developing its engineers and is happy to provide additional training where required. Training can be delivered at their Essex office or through external training providers to further develop your technical knowledge and manufacturer experience.
