How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

An established and highly regarded UK-based manufacturer of electronic components is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join its growing commercial team.

With decades of industry expertise, the business specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of electronic components, providing customers with bespoke solutions alongside a comprehensive range of standard products. Combining UK manufacturing capability with international production partnerships, the company delivers flexible, cost-effective solutions to customers across a variety of sectors.

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious sales professional looking to make a significant impact. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to quickly progress into a Sales Director position, taking ownership of the commercial strategy and growth of the business. For the right individual, there is also the potential to earn equity in the company, offering a genuine long-term opportunity to become a key part of the organisation’s future success.

    The Role

You will be responsible for selling a range of specialist electronic components, including products such as transformers, wound components and power supply solutions. A strong understanding of these product areas, their applications and the wider electronic components market is essential.

This role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence the future commercial direction of a successful and growing business.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Identify and secure new business opportunities within target markets.

    * Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.

    * Sell technical electronic component solutions to a range of industries and applications.

    * Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate product-led solutions.

    * Manage the complete sales cycle from initial prospecting through to closing opportunities.

    * Develop and implement business development strategies to increase market share.

    * Work closely with technical and operational teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.

    * Progress towards a Sales Director role with responsibility for wider commercial growth.

    Candidate Requirements

    * Proven track record of selling electronic components is essential.

    * Senior-level experience within the electronic components industry.

    * Strong technical understanding of electronic components, including transformers, wound components and power supply products.

    * Ability to understand customer applications and translate technical requirements into commercial solutions.

    * Demonstrable success in winning new business and developing customer relationships.

    * Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

    * Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.

    * Highly motivated, organised and capable of working independently in a remote environment.

    What's on Offer:

    * Fully remote working opportunity.

    * A genuine career pathway to Sales Director level.

    * Potential equity opportunity for the right individual.

    * Competitive salary and commission package (dependent on experience).

    * The chance to play a key role in shaping and scaling an established and ambitious business
