How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Air Conditioning Engineer - London - Contract - Rate Negotiable

    Overview

    Fuel Recruitment is working with a leading telecommunications organisation that is looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to support the maintenance, installation and repair of cooling systems within telecoms infrastructure sites across London.

    This is a contract opportunity for a hands-on engineer with experience working in critical environments, including telecoms cabinets, network sites and communications infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring cooling systems operate effectively to maintain network uptime and performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on air conditioning and cooling systems within telecoms cabinets and network sites.

    * Diagnose and repair faults on a range of HVAC and cooling equipment.

    * Install, commission and test air conditioning units and associated equipment.

    * Respond to reactive maintenance call-outs and emergency breakdowns.

    * Complete service reports, maintenance records and compliance documentation.

    * Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures.

    Key Skills / Experience

    * Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or HVAC Engineer.

    * Experience working within telecoms environments, including street cabinets, data centres, network sites or communications infrastructure.

    * Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair skills.

    * F-Gas certification (essential).

    * Knowledge of split systems, DX cooling units and other commercial air conditioning systems.

    * Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.

    * Full UK driving licence.

    * Strong awareness of health and safety procedures within critical infrastructure environments
