How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About the Role

    Imech Engineering Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team on the Shotton Mill Project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major industrial construction project with a competitive hourly rate and regular overtime available.

    Salary & Benefits

    * £27.00 - £30.00 per hour (depending on experience)

    Key Responsibilities

    * Coordinate and supervise electrical installation activities on site.

    * Ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with project specifications.

    * Liaise with clients, subcontractors and site management.

    * Review electrical drawings and technical documentation.

    * Monitor progress and maintain project quality standards.

    * Support planning, inspections and commissioning activities.

    * Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.

    Essential Requirements

    * Minimum 3 years' site-based Electrical Engineering experience.

    * SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) - Mandatory.

    * Experience working on industrial or construction projects.

    * Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements.

    * Excellent communication and organisational skills.

    * Right to work in the UK.

    Desirable

    * ECS Card.

    * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

    * HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering.

    * Experience working within heavy industrial, manufacturing or process environments.

    Working Hours

    * Standard site hours with weekly overtime opportunities available.

    * Overtime paid in accordance with project requirements.
