How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Cover Supervisor - Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire

If you enjoy working with young people and thrive in a classroom environment, this could be your next opportunity.
Educational settings across Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire are recruiting a Cover Supervisor to work within Primary, Secondary, SEN and Alternative Provision schools. These positions offer flexible working patterns alongside opportunities for both general classroom cover and subject specialist placements.

Rather than spending evenings planning lessons or marking books, you'll be delivering work that has already been prepared by the class teacher. Your role is to maintain continuity of learning, support pupil engagement and manage behaviour effectively so every lesson remains productive.

    What you'll be doing

You will supervise whole classes, explain lesson expectations, monitor progress, respond to questions where appropriate and ensure pupils remain focused throughout the school day. Every day may look different, requiring confidence, organisation and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.

    What we're looking for

Experience working with children and young people is essential.

    You'll also demonstrate:

    Strong classroom management.

    Excellent communication skills.

Flexibility across different age groups and subjects.

    A calm and professional approach.

Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Schools throughout Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire are looking for reliable professionals who can step confidently into the classroom and maintain high expectations from the moment they arrive.

Working as a Cover Supervisor offers variety, flexibility and the opportunity to build experience across different educational settings without the additional workload of planning or assessment.
