A small welcoming one-form entry primary school in Chesterfield are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated General Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in Key Stage 1.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping young children develop academically, socially and emotionally, and who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers.
The Role
As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils in the classroom to access learning and make good progress.
* Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning experiences.
* Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups.
* Help create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
* Promote children's independence, confidence and wellbeing.
* Assist with classroom organisation and the preparation of learning resources.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold our values.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
* Has experience of working with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 1.
* Has a positive, flexible and proactive approach.
* Builds warm, professional relationships with children, staff and families.
* Has good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
* Can work effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative.
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential for candidates with suitable experience).
* Ideally have experience with a range of phonics schemes including Read Write Inc, Little Wandle
