The successful candidate will work closely with the Commercial Manager and Project Team to ensure robust commercial control, maximise project profitability, and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Full commercial management of the project from procurement through to final account.
* Preparation and submission of interim applications and valuations.
* Management of subcontractor procurement, accounts, payments and final accounts.
* Administration of contract changes, variations and compensation events.
* Preparation of monthly CVRs, cost reports and forecasts.
* Cost planning, budgeting and cash flow management.
* Identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities.
* Negotiation of subcontract and client accounts.
* Liaison with project managers, site teams, clients and consultants.
* Ensure contractual compliance and accurate commercial reporting.
* Support dispute avoidance and commercial resolution where required.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor working for a main contractor.
* Experience delivering projects valued at £20m+.
* Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC forms of contract.
* Excellent understanding of procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts.
* Ability to work independently while supporting the wider commercial team.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting systems.
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred).
* MRICS status desirable but not essential.
