How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Field Electrician - Renewables

East Anglia * Competitive Salary + Benefits * Field Based | Full Time

We're working with a well-established and fast-growing renewable energy installer to hire a Field Electrician at an exciting stage of their expansion. This is a hands-on installation role for a qualified electrician who wants steady, high-quality work installing heat pumps and solar systems into homes across the region.

You'll be working on confirmed installations booked in by the office team, fitting renewable technologies to a consistently high standard and giving customers confidence in both the workmanship and the aftercare. The business has a strong local reputation built on the quality of its installations, and takes a longer-term view of its customer relationships rather than moving on once a job is done.

    What You'll Be Doing

Installing heat pumps, solar PV, and associated electrical systems in customers' homes across the region
Carrying out first and second fix electrical work to a high standard, in line with current regulations
Testing, commissioning, and handing over completed installations, talking customers through their new system
Working from surveys and specifications prepared by the technical team, flagging any issues on site
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area at every property
Building good relationships with homeowners, representing the business professionally at all times
Completing accurate job sheets, certification, and paperwork for every installation
Working closely with the office, survey, and technical teams to ensure a smooth customer journeyWhat We're Looking For

City & Guilds L3 qualified electrician (or equivalent recognised qualification)
Proven experience installing renewable technologies - heat pumps and/or solar PV - into domestic properties
Based in the region, ideally centrally located for ease of travel to jobs
Full, clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle
A conscientious, quality-focused approach to your work
Comfortable working independently and managing your own day
A professional manner with customers, taking pride in the finished job as well as the technical work
Looking to build a long-term career with a growing business in a sector with real momentum
