How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you looking to kick-start your career in the HVAC industry with a company that's committed to developing the next generation of engineers?

We're recruiting for an enthusiastic HVAC Improver to join a growing specialist in temporary heating and cooling solutions. You'll work alongside experienced engineers installing, servicing and maintaining a wide range of hire equipment across commercial and industrial sites, with full training and industry-recognised qualifications provided.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone in the early stages of their engineering career who has a practical mindset, a strong work ethic and is keen to learn.

    The Role

Prepare, test and inspect equipment before and after hire.
Support experienced engineers with fault finding, repairs and commissioning.
Travel to customer sites across a variety of commercial and industrial environments.
Maintain high standards of health and safety and customer service.

    What We're Looking For

Some hands-on experience in HVAC, refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing & heating or another mechanical engineering environment.
Alternatively, a relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC or similar) with practical experience through college, an apprenticeship or work placement.
A genuine willingness to learn and develop.
Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
    Practical problem-solving skills.
Full UK Driving Licence (or working towards obtaining one).

    What's on Offer

    £25,000 - £27,500 basic salary.
Fully funded industry training and qualifications.
    Ongoing mentoring from experienced engineers.
Clear progression to HVAC Service Engineer.
Exposure to a wide range of commercial heating and cooling systems.
Long-term career with a growing specialist business.
Company vehicle (when appropriate), tools and PPE provided.
If you're motivated, eager to learn and looking for a company that will invest in your future, we'd love to hear from you.
