How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Repairs Administrator
    Location: South West London
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
    Contract: Temporary (3 months initially, with the potential to be extended or become permanent)

    About the Role

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Administrator to join a busy housing team on an initial three-month temporary contract. This role will have a strong focus on coordinating damp and mould cases, ensuring they are managed efficiently from initial report through to completion.

    The successful candidate will work closely with residents, contractors, surveyors and internal teams to ensure damp and mould issues are investigated promptly, repairs are scheduled within agreed timescales, and residents are kept informed throughout the process. This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent organisation, strong communication skills and previous experience managing damp and mould cases within a social housing or property maintenance environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage and coordinate repair cases from initial report through to completion.
    Take ownership of damp and mould cases, ensuring they are progressed efficiently and in line with organisational procedures.
    Liaise with residents, contractors, surveyors and internal teams to coordinate inspections, remedial works and follow-up repairs.
    Raise repair orders, book appointments and monitor works through to completion.
    Ensure damp and mould cases are accurately recorded, updated and tracked using internal systems.
    Monitor contractor performance and follow up on outstanding actions to minimise delays.
    Maintain regular communication with residents, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the repair process.
    Ensure repairs are completed within agreed service standards and timescales.
    Provide excellent customer service while handling sensitive repair issues with empathy and professionalism.

    Essential Requirements

    Previous experience working within repairs administration, property maintenance or social housing.
    Proven experience managing or coordinating damp and mould cases is essential.
    Good understanding of the damp and mould repair process, including raising works, coordinating inspections and monitoring remedial actions.
    Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
    Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents and contractors.
    Confident using housing management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
    Ability to work independently and prioritise a busy workload
