How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum

    The Opportunity As Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance and operational performance are consistently achieved. You'll lead by example, creating a positive culture where residents receive exceptional care and staff feel supported, motivated and empowered to succeed.

    Working closely with regional leadership, you'll have the autonomy to drive improvements, maintain regulatory standards and continue building a home that residents, families and colleagues are proud to be part of.

    Key Responsibilities
    Provide effective leadership and day-to-day operational management of the home.
    Inspire, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding outcomes.
    Ensure safe staffing levels through effective recruitment, retention and workforce planning.
    Oversee budgets and financial performance while maintaining high-quality care standards.
    Ensure full compliance with Care Inspectorate regulations and all relevant legislation.
    Promote a culture of person-centred care, dignity and respect for every resident.
    Monitor quality, investigate concerns or complaints and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    Maintain excellent relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
    Ensure robust care planning processes are in place and that staff receive ongoing training and development.About You We're looking for an experienced care leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional standards of care and creating a positive environment for both residents and colleagues.

    You'll ideally have:

    A valid NMC Pin (Registered Nurse) – essential.
    Previous experience as a Home Manager within a nursing home setting.
    A proven track record of achieving positive regulatory outcomes.
    Strong leadership, people management and coaching skills.
    Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
    Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and occupancy.
    A compassionate, approachable and resilient leadership style.
