How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Fire Alarm Engineer

    £45,000 - £50,000 | No Call-Out

    Looking for a Fire Alarm Engineer role that offers a great salary, no call-out and a genuine work-life balance?

    Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join a well-established Fire & Security company servicing commercial sites across London.

    The Role

    As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you'll carry out the service, PPM maintenance, fault finding and small remedial works of commercial fire alarm systems across London. You'll work on a varied customer base, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with BS5839.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Service, maintain and fault-find on commercial fire alarm systems

    * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

    * Complete reactive maintenance and small remedial works

    * Complete electronic service reports

    * Deliver excellent customer service

    * Ensure all work complies with BS5839 and company standards

    Requirements

    * Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer, Fire Alarm Service Engineer or Fire & Security Engineer

    * Strong knowledge of commercial fire alarm systems

    * Experience with manufacturers such as Morley, Advanced, Gent, Kentec, Notifier, C-Tec, Apollo, Hochiki or similar

    * Strong fault-finding skills

    * Full UK driving licence
