How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Supervisor - Pressings Industry

    Location: Wolverhampton
    Salary: £35,000 per annum
    Job Type: Permanent
    Hours: Days - 35 hours per week

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Team Leader to join a well-established manufacturing business within the pressings industry.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in pressings who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about driving performance, quality, and continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead, motivate, and manage a production team to achieve daily production targets.

    Supervise day-to-day operations within the press shop.

    Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

    Carry out hourly production and quality checks.

    Monitor and manage work in progress (WIP) to maintain production flow.

    Ensure job cards are completed accurately and production documentation is maintained.

    Allocate workloads and monitor operator performance.

    Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions where required.

    Report production performance, downtime, quality issues, and KPI information to management.

    Maintain high housekeeping and health & safety standards.

    Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.

    Requirements

    Previous experience within the pressings industry is essential.

    Proven experience in a Production Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar leadership role.

    Strong people management and team leadership skills.

    Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Good understanding of quality standards, production reporting, and KPI monitoring.

    Experience managing work in progress (WIP), job cards, and production schedules.

    Excellent communication and organisational skills.

    A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
