How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Leading consultancy in the rail sector, seeks a proven P6 Planning professional who has worked on rail systems projects for a contract opportunity in London.

    This role involves project planning using Primavera P6 and requires experience with rail systems projects including Track, OCS, M&E, HV Power, Signalling, and Communications.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Serve as the technical owner and superuser for the P6 environment used by the company.
    Responsibilities include P6 system configuration, data governance, and enterprise-level planning controls across the RSA P6 enterprise.
    Maintain Primavera P6 enterprise structures, including EPS, OBS, calendars, resource hierarchies, project codes, and global data.
    Enforce agreed minimum planning standards for all RSA users within the company P6 database.
    Administer user permissions, including user access control, profiles, and rights.
    Ensure consistent planning structures and standards are applied across all RSA programmes.
    Support the modelling of engineering interfaces across various disciplines.
    Provide expert system support to planners, engineers, PMO, and delivery teams, and deliver HS2-specific training.

    Job Requirements:

    Experience as a Primavera P6 Administrator or Superuser.
    Significant experience with rail or multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
    Understanding of Rail Systems including Track, Overhead Catenary Systems, M&E, HV Power, Signalling, Operational Communications, and Engineering Management Systems/SCADA.
    Experience with P6 enterprise configuration and multi-programme portfolios.
    Strong report writing and presentation skills.
    Ability to work effectively and independently in a collaborative team environment.
    Proven ability to implement changes to enterprise data structures and maintain system configurations.
