How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

As part of this growth, they're looking for a Quality Engineer to help shape and develop their Quality Control function. This isn't a role where you'll simply follow established processes. You'll have the opportunity to improve them, influence manufacturing quality, and make a genuine impact on the way products are built.

Working closely with the Head of Quality, you'll be responsible for driving quality improvements throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring products consistently meet the highest standards.

    Your responsibilities will include:

Investigating manufacturing quality issues and identifying root causes.
Monitoring production quality and identifying trends through data analysis.
Working alongside Engineering and Manufacturing teams to improve processes.
Conducting supplier quality audits both in the UK and internationally.
Inspecting incoming components and supporting production quality activities.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing.
Ensuring quality systems are effective and consistently followed.

    You'll ideally have experience with:

    Manufacturing Quality Engineering.
    Root Cause Analysis.
    Supplier Quality or Supplier Auditing.
    Continuous Improvement.
    Quality Control within manufacturing.
ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards.
Electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing (preferred but not essential).

If you enjoy solving real engineering problems, working closely with manufacturing teams, and getting out onto the production floor, this is an opportunity to join a business where your ideas will be listened to and your work will directly influence product quality
