How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Manager – Fire & Security

    London
    £60,000 Basic, Car/Travel Allowance

    Join one of the UK's fastest-growing Fire & Security integrators as a Project Manager, delivering high-value projects across London and the South East.

    Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll take ownership of projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards. Project values range from small works up to £1.5 million across a variety of commercial environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage the full lifecycle of Fire & Security projects

    * Deliver projects ranging from small works up to £1.5 million

    * Manage project programmes, budgets, forecasts and profitability

    * Coordinate engineers, subcontractors and suppliers

    * Oversee procurement, resource planning and project schedules

    * Manage project risks, variations and client expectations

    * Build and maintain strong client relationships

    * Ensure compliance with British Standards, NSI/SSAIB requirements and Health & Safety legislation

    * Deliver projects involving Fire Alarms, Fire Detection, CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and integrated security systems

    Requirements

    * Proven Project Management experience within the Fire & Security industry

    * Experience managing Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm projects

    * Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, forecasts and project variations

    * Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills

    * Good understanding of British Standards, NSI/SSAIB requirements and Health & Safety legislation

    * Full UK driving licence
