How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An award-winning, top-tier law firm is seeking a Housing & Public Law Paralegal to join its London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a Housing & Public Law Paralegal to gain hands-on experience within a highly regarded team, working on complex and meaningful cases while developing a long-term legal career. The role offers Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) for candidates qualifying through the SQE route, with the potential to progress to a Training Contract.

    The Role

    As the Housing & Public Law Paralegal you will support solicitors across a varied caseload of housing and public law matters.

    The role will include:

    * Assisting with case preparation and legal research
    * Reviewing and managing case documentation and evidence
    * Completing legal aid and funding applications
    * Liaising with clients, witnesses and third parties
    * Attending court hearings and conferences
    * Supporting billing and financial administration
    * Managing case files and ensuring deadlines are met
    * Providing general legal and administrative support to the team

    The Housing & Public Law Paralegal?

    You will be a motivated and organised individual with a genuine interest in Housing and Public Law.

    The Housing & Public Law Paralegal must have:

    * A Law degree or postgraduate legal qualification
    * Previous legal experience is desirable, particularly within Housing or Public Law
    * Strong legal research and document analysis skills
    * Excellent communication and organisational skills
    * Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    * Proactive approach with strong attention to detail
    * Excellent client care and administrative skills
