How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Felixstowe

Polkadotfrog are delighted to be supporting a fantastic global business in Felixstowe, in their search for an HR Manager or HR Business Partner on a part-time basis.

We're looking for an HR Manager / HR Business Partner to lead all aspects of HR across the site. This is a standalone role offering the opportunity to shape the people agenda, influence leadership and develop a confident culture.

This is more than a traditional HR role. We're looking for someone who can balance operational excellence with strategic thinking - someone who is equally comfortable managing employee relations, coaching managers, improving engagement and driving continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities as the HR Manager / HR Business Partner;

Managing all day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, probation, absence management, HR systems and employee records.

Providing expert advice and support on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence cases.

Coaching and developing managers to improve confidence and capability in people management, performance conversations and employee engagement.

Driving employee engagement initiatives, communication and recognition programmes

Supporting workforce planning, recruitment strategy, succession planning and future capability development.

Leading HR improvement projects, including policy reviews, performance management processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies and HR best practice.

    About You

You'll be an experienced HR generalist who enjoys working in an operational environment and building trusted relationships across all levels of the business.

CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).

Strong generalist HR experience as a HR Manager or HR Business Partner.

Excellent employee relations experience, including supporting managers through complex cases.

Experience working with trade unions or within a unionised environment.

A thorough understanding of UK employment law.

Strong coaching and influencing skills with the ability to develop manager capability.

A practical, hands-on approach and the confidence to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.

Excellent organisational skills, resilience and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

This is an opportunity to become a key member of the leadership team and make a genuine difference to how people are led and supported.

You'll have the autonomy to shape HR practices, influence business decisions and build a culture where managers are empowered, employees are engaged and continuous improvement is part of everyday working life.

If you are interested in finding out more about this great opportunity, please reach out to us today for a confidential chat. INDH
