Family Paralegal

A Legal 500 and Chambers ranked law firm is seeking a Family Paralegal to join its growing Canterbury office. This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Paralegal looking to develop their career within a busy and supportive Family team, gaining exposure to a broad range of family law matters while working alongside experienced solicitors.

The Role

As the Family Paralegal you will support Fee Earners across a varied caseload of family matters.

The role will include:

* Providing support on private family law matters
* Managing client files and case management systems
* Drafting letters, documents and correspondence
* Attending client meetings and taking notes
* Preparing and submitting public funding applications
* Collating and redacting documents for Court bundles
* Liaising with local authorities, Police, Courts and medical experts
* Requesting and reviewing case documentation
* Building relationships with clients and third parties
* Ensuring the highest standards of client care throughout matters

The Family Paralegal?

You will be an organised and motivated individual with a genuine interest in Family Law.

The Family Paralegal must have:

* LPC, BPTC or equivalent legal qualification, completed or in progress
* Demonstrable interest in Family Law
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Professional and client-focused approach
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
