How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant - Newham - £95 to £110 Daily Rate - Full Time - September Start - Primary School

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Newham. This full-time role is available for a September start and offers a competitive daily rate of £95 to £110, depending on experience.

Do you have experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant within a primary school?
Are you confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH?
Do you have the patience and commitment to help children reach their full potential?

If so, this could be the ideal role for you.

The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, working on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help them access the curriculum and achieve their individual learning goals. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support strategies and create a positive learning environment.

The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of SEN, deliver targeted interventions, encourage social and emotional development, and use effective behaviour management strategies where required. You will play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, independence, and engagement within the classroom.

Strong communication skills, a nurturing approach, and previous experience supporting children with SEN are essential for this role.

    The School - Newham
This inclusive and welcoming primary school is committed to ensuring every pupil receives the support they need to succeed. The school has a dedicated SEN team, a supportive leadership structure, and a strong focus on staff development, making it an excellent environment for both experienced teaching assistants and those looking to further their careers in SEN.
