How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This Assistant Project Manager role would suit an ambitious Assistant Project Manager who wants varied project exposure, strong APC support, and a clear route towards becoming a fully qualified Project Manager. The successful Assistant Project Manager will join a supportive team that invests in training, professional development, and long-term career progression.

    The Assistant Project Manager's role

The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of commercial, education, and heritage projects across London.

The Assistant Project Manager will assist with programme management, consultant coordination, procurement, contract administration, risk management, project reporting, and stakeholder communication. They will attend client and site meetings, monitor project actions, maintain accurate documentation, and support multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.

As their experience develops, the Assistant Project Manager will be encouraged to take greater ownership of smaller projects while continuing to receive guidance from experienced senior colleagues.

    The Assistant Project Manager

The successful Assistant Project Manager will have:

Around two years' experience within a construction consultancy
Experience supporting commercial, education, heritage, or similar projects
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
Progress towards MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or another relevant professional qualification
A basic understanding of JCT contracts and construction project delivery
Strong communication, organisation, and report-writing skills
A professional and confident client-facing approach
A proactive attitude and commitment to career development

    In Return?

    £35,000 - £45,000
    Excellent APC and chartership support
    Professional membership fees paid
    Pension contribution
    Hybrid working may be available
Varied commercial, education, and heritage project exposure
    Clear progression to Project Manager
    Supportive and collaborative London team
