How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you a talented Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a new challenge? This could be for you!

We are excited to be partnering with a leading manufacturing client in their search for a dedicated Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. Our client is renowned for its diverse product range and is seeking a hands-on engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses a solid understanding of the full design lifecycle. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact within a growing and innovative company.

Mechanical Design Engineer - The Role:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design and development of a wide array of products, including:

    Cast products

    Injection molded components

    Machined parts

    Sheet metal fabrication

You will be expected to contribute to all stages of the design process, from concept to production, ensuring robust and efficient solutions. A key aspect of this role will also involve sharing your expertise and mentoring less experienced team members, helping to build a strong and knowledgeable engineering department.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Who We're Looking For:

Our client is seeking someone who is pragmatic, team-oriented, and passionate about design rather than management. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in product design and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes. We are looking for someone who:

Has a proven track record in mechanical design, specifically with the product types mentioned above.

Possesses a practical, hands-on approach to engineering.

Is an excellent team player with a positive attitude.

Is eager to contribute their knowledge and experience to the team.

Understands the importance of a good "fit" within a close-knit engineering department.

    To Apply:

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a company that values practical engineering talent and offers a supportive work environment. If you are an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys the challenge of diverse product design and wants to be part of a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply! If you believe you have the skills and experience our client is looking for, please do apply now
