How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    NHSE- Education Programme Coordinator Band 4

    Location: Adanac Drive Southampton Hampshire SO16 0AS
    Contract: Temporary, until end of September 2026 but if extension gets approved this role would be till March 202.
    Salary: £14.52 per hour
    Hours: Full Time, Monday- Friday, 9-5, may be some longer days if they are having a recruitment event on site of 8-5.

    Working pattern: Initially fully onsite for training then hybrid working - can be two days on site and the rest from home.

    Training: On job training.

    About the Role

    We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Education Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of medical and dental education programmes. This role plays a vital part in the recruitment and onboarding process for NHS workforce trainees, acting as the first point of contact for applicants, programme leads, and stakeholders.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, ideally with previous recruitment experience, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing outstanding customer service.

    Key Responsibilities

    Monitor and manage the programme group inbox, ensuring queries are triaged and responded to promptly.

    Act as the first point of contact for applicants, NHS workforce trainees, and programme stakeholders.

    Maintain, update, and monitor recruitment trackers and databases to ensure accurate records are kept.

    Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including application administration and candidate communication.

    Coordinate and facilitate online interview processes.

    Assist with shortlisting applications against eligibility criteria.

    Respond professionally to enquiries from applicants, programme leads, and medical consultants.

    Conduct eligibility and right-to-work checks in line with organisational policies.

    Provide administrative support for national recruitment campaigns across medical and dental education programmes.

    Manage information requests, take messages, and ensure queries are escalated where appropriate.

    Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth programme delivery and an excellent candidate experience.

    Essential Skills and Experience

    The successful candidate will demonstrate:

    Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work.

    Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Confident and professional interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, which is used daily.

    The ability to work independently using initiative while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

    Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    Desirable Experience

    Previous recruitment experience.

    Experience managing recruitment processes and candidate communications.

    Experience working within an NHS, healthcare, education, or professional services environment.

    Strong administrative background with experience handling high volumes of data and correspondence.
