How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Operations Manager – Renewable Energy and Electrical Contracting
Newton, Carnforth, £40 – £45k per annum, DOE, plus company vehicle
This is an opportunity to step into a central, influential role in a growing renewable energy and electrical contracting business, where your work will make a visible difference every day.
The successful applicant must have previous hands-on experience working as an Electrician. This practical background is important because you will be coordinating electrical projects, supporting installation teams and helping ensure work is planned and delivered to a high standard.
You will be trusted to help shape how projects run, how teams are coordinated and how customers experience the business. You will be joining a company with a strong reputation for quality, integrity and practical, knowledgeable advice, where doing the job properly matters.
For someone who enjoys organisation, variety and responsibility, this role offers the chance to use their electrical knowledge in a broader operational position, solve real challenges and play a key part in delivering projects that contribute to a more sustainable future.
    What’s on offer:
    * £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
    * Company work van provided
    * A key role in a growing renewable energy and electrical contracting business
    * The opportunity to use your electrical experience in a broader management role
    * A varied working day across scheduling, teams, customers, materials, project delivery and quality
    * Genuine influence over how work is planned, coordinated and delivered
    * The opportunity to contribute directly to renewable energy and net zero projects
    * A supportive, knowledgeable team that takes pride in high standards
    * The chance to work for a company built on honesty, quality workmanship and professional service
    * The opportunity to support continued business growth
    Why This Role Stands Out
This is not a narrow office-based coordination role. You will be involved across the full operational flow of the business, from planning work and supporting installation teams to helping projects run smoothly and ensuring customers receive the level of service they expect.
Your previous experience as an Electrician will help you understand the practical demands of the work, communicate effectively with the team and identify potential issues before they become problems.
You will have the satisfaction of seeing your work turn into well-run projects, efficient teams, satisfied customers and high-quality installations. You will also be part of a business helping customers make practical progress towards a more sustainable future through Solar PV, renewable energy and electrical contracting solutions.
    About the Company
Our client is a forward-thinking and conscientious business delivering professional, reliable and innovative renewable energy and electrical contracting solutions.
The company provides honest advice, practical guidance and alternative suggestions that help customers achieve their sustainability goals. It has built its reputation on quality, integrity and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way.
    What you’ll be involved in:
    * Coordinating installation teams and Electricians so work runs smoothly
    * Planning and scheduling projects to make the best use of time and resources
    * Helping maintain high quality standards across all work
    * Supporting materials ordering, stock availability and returns
    * Liaising with customers to keep communication clear and professional
    * Supporting staff and helping maintain a positive working environment
    * Assisting with pricing, quotations and identifying chargeable extras
    * Helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
    * Supporting the continued growth and development of the business
    What will help you succeed:
    * Previous hands-on experience working as an Electrician
    * Experience in operations, contracts management, project management or site supervision
    * A background in electrical contracting, construction, renewable energy or a related industry
    * Confidence planning work, coordinating people and managing multiple priorities
    * Competence with administrative and scheduling tasks
    * Good communication and customer service ability
    * A practical, organised and solutions-focused approach
    * A full, clean UK driving licence
    * Ability to work from 6:45am to 4:30pm
If you want a role where you are trusted, involved and able to make a genuine operational impact, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business at an exciting stage of development.
To apply, please complete the short online recruitment process. It takes approximately 10 minutes and helps both you and our client understand whether the opportunity is a strong mutual fit
