How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident using Excel?

We're recruiting for a Roster Clerk to join a busy transport operations team in Central London. Working alongside a team of experienced Roster Clerks, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring drivers and station staff are accurately rostered to keep services running safely and efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, schedules, and workforce planning within a fast-paced operational environment.

    The Role

As a Roster Clerk, you'll be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating staff rosters to meet operational requirements. With no automated rostering system currently in place, Excel is the primary tool used, making this role ideally suited to someone who enjoys spreadsheet-based planning and administration.

You'll join a collaborative team of three Roster Clerks, supporting the day-to-day delivery of transport services across a key Central London operation.

    Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain staff rosters for drivers and station staff using Microsoft Excel.
Manage roster amendments and updates in line with operational requirements.
Work closely with fellow Roster Clerks to ensure accurate staffing coverage.
Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and gaps.
Ensure roster information is accurate, up-to-date, and communicated effectively.
Support the wider operations team with workforce planning activities.
    About You

    Essential:

Previous rostering, scheduling, or workforce planning experience.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
    Desirable:

Experience within rail, transport, logistics, or operational environments.
Advanced Excel skills such as formulas, conditional formatting, pivot tables, or macros.
    What's On Offer?

Part-time opportunity working 3 days per week
Join a supportive and collaborative team environment
Play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of essential transport services
Central London location with excellent transport links
Opportunity to utilise and develop your Excel and operational planning skills
If you're looking for a role where organisation, attention to detail, and Excel expertise can make a real operational impact, we'd love to hear from you.
