How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical Wiring & Integration Engineer

    Overview

    We are looking for an experienced Electrical Wiring & Integration Engineer to wire, test and integrate packaging machinery into automated production lines. You'll be responsible for electrical machine wiring, control system integration and ensuring machinery communicates correctly with customer production equipment using digital I/O signals.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Wire and assemble packaging machinery from electrical drawings.

    * Install, terminate and test electrical wiring, sensors, motors, actuators and control devices.

    * Carry out electrical testing, fault finding and wiring modifications.

    * Integrate machinery with customer production lines using digital I/O signals.

    * Configure and verify machine communication signals, including:

    * Machine Ready

    * Start Cycle

    * Stop Line

    * Product Present

    * Fault Signal

    * Cycle Complete

    * Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

    * Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and occasional site commissioning.

    * Work closely with mechanical, controls and project engineers to deliver complete machine installations.

    * Maintain high standards of electrical safety and quality.

    Essential Experience

    * Electrical machine wiring and panel wiring.

    * Integrating machinery into automated production lines.

    * Wiring and fault finding digital I/O interfaces between machines.

    * Cable termination, sensors, motors, relays, contactors and safety circuits.

    * Reading electrical schematics and interface drawings.

    * Diagnosing electrical and machine communication faults.

    * Confident using multimeters and electrical test equipment.

    Qualifications

    * NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation or Mechatronics.

    * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable).

    * ECS or CSCS card (desirable)
