How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical Project ManagerLocation: Stevenage, London and Home-based (Hybrid) 
    Salary: £55,000–£65,000
    Employment: Permanent

    The Company
    A growing small to medium-sized electrical contractor is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join its team.The business specialises in commercial office fit-out projects, with around 90% of its work based in London and the remainder across the Home Counties. Projects typically range from £60,000 to £500,000 and run for approximately 8 to 20 weeks.

    The Role
    You will manage live electrical projects at different stages, from initial handover through to completion. You will take responsibility for programme, labour, materials, costs, client communication and site delivery. The role is hybrid, combining site visits, home working and a couple of days each month in the Stevenage office.

    Key Responsibilities
    Manage commercial electrical projects from start to finish.
    Oversee multiple live projects, potentially up to ten at a time.
    Coordinate labour, subcontractors, suppliers and materials.
    Monitor programmes, budgets, variations and project performance.
    Attend site and client meetings.
    Carry out regular site visits across London and the Home Counties.
    Resolve programme, technical and commercial issues.
    Manage testing, commissioning, snagging and handover.The Candidate
    You will need:

    Experience as an Electrical Project Manager or Contracts Manager.
    A commercial electrical contracting background.
    Experience delivering CAT B office fit-out projects.
    Experience managing multiple fast-paced projects.
    Strong knowledge of labour, procurement, variations and project costs.
    A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.Package
