How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Year 2 Teacher – Chichester | September Start

    Full-Time | September Start

Masterclass Education is working with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Chichester to recruit an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive school where pupils are encouraged to thrive, staff wellbeing is valued, and high-quality teaching is at the heart of everything they do. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), the school offers a collaborative environment where you'll be supported to develop and succeed.

    The Role

As the Year 2 Teacher, you'll be responsible for creating a positive and engaging classroom where children feel confident, challenged, and inspired to learn. You'll deliver creative, well-planned lessons that meet the needs of all learners, helping pupils make excellent progress as they prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2.

Working closely with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents, you'll play an important role in supporting both the academic achievement and personal development of every child.

    Responsibilities

    * Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

    * Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported.

    * Assess, monitor, and celebrate pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.

    * Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

    * Contribute to the wider life of the school and work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.

    * Promote high standards of behaviour, wellbeing, and achievement.

    We're Looking For Someone Who

    * Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

    * Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2, although outstanding ECTs are encouraged to apply.

    * Delivers engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.

    * Has strong classroom management skills and high expectations for all pupils.

    * Is enthusiastic, caring, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

    What the School Offers

    * A welcoming and supportive leadership team.

    * Friendly, dedicated colleagues who work collaboratively.

    * Well-behaved, enthusiastic pupils who enjoy learning.

    * Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities.

    * A positive school culture where staff wellbeing is genuinely valued.

If you're looking for an exciting new opportunity in a supportive Chichester primary school where you can make a real difference to children's learning and development, we'd love to hear from you
