I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join the team on a major highways and infrastructure project in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term freelance role with a well-established contractor delivering a significant highways improvement scheme.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of the civil engineering works, with a particular focus on:
•Setting out drainage
•Setting out kerb lines
•Earthworks and associated infrastructure
•Ensuring works are delivered accurately and to programme
•Maintaining QA records and as-built information
•Liaising with site management and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
THE CANDIDATE
The client is looking to speak with Site Engineers who have:
•Previous experience working on highways and civil engineering projects.
•A strong background in drainage and kerb line setting out.
•Excellent setting out and surveying skills using robotic total stations and GPS equipment.
•Experience producing QA documentation and maintaining quality standards.
•The ability to work independently while supporting the wider site team.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
•CSCS Card
•Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND or Degree preferred)
•Experience using Leica and/or Trimble surveying equipment
•Full UK Driving Licence
