How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your new role

    As a Senior Architect focusing on educational projects, you will be instrumental in leading design initiatives and ensuring client satisfaction through exceptional architectural solutions. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional eager to influence our educational architecture practice directly.

    Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

    Lead architectural projects from concept to completion with a focus on educational facilities.
    Utilize strong design skills to create innovative and functional spaces.
    Communicate effectively with clients and team members, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned with project goals.
    Employ proficiency in ArchiCAD or Revit and Adobe Suite to produce high-quality visual and technical documents.
    Apply a thorough understanding of HBN/HTM guidance, building regulations, and construction technologies to ensure compliance and excellence in project execution.
    Work collaboratively within a team while also driving individual tasks and responsibilities.
    Demonstrate a self-motivated, passionate approach to architectural design and client engagement.

    What you need to succeed

    A minimum of 10 years' post-qualification experience in a UK architecture practice.
    Proven track record of working on educational projects.
    Exceptional design and technical skills.
    Proficiency in ArchiCAD or Revit, Adobe Suite, and an understanding of BIM processes.
    Strong communication skills; capable of effective presentation and dialogue with stakeholders.
    Technical proficiency with a solid understanding of building regulations and construction technologies.
    Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
