The Semi Senior Accountant will receive a competitive salary, depending upon experience, study support, career progression, pension, professional development, free on-site parking, exposure to a variety of clients and industries.
As Semi Senior Accountant your responsibilities will include:
* Statutory accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
* Management accounts and financial reports
* Preparation and submission of VAT returns for a portfolio of clients
* Assisting clients with bookkeeping and accounting queries
* Liaising directly with clients to provide excellent service and build strong relationships
* Supporting senior members of the team with year-end accounts and advisory work
* Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
* Keeping up to date with accounting standards and tax legislation

* Ideally be AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA or ACA
* A minimum of two years’ recent experience working within a UK accountancy practice
* Experience preparing both statutory and management accounts
* Experience preparing VAT returns
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage would be an advantage
* Excellent attention to detail
* A proactive, positive attitude with a desire to learn and develop
* Able to manage your workload effectively and build strong client relationships
