Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of reported technical issues and manage cases through to resolution using the technical support system.
Provide field-based technical support to the dealer network and produce detailed visit reports.
Prioritise and manage multiple complex technical cases simultaneously.
Escalate unresolved issues to engineering teams, ensuring timely and customer-focused solutions.
Support Quality teams in the investigation and resolution of product-related concerns.
Assist Customer Experience teams with technical input relating to customer complaints.
Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of technical support processes and systems.
Review technical documentation received from global teams, ensuring it is suitable for the UK market and identifying any translation requirements.
Develop and deliver technical presentations, seminars, and workshops for technicians across the dealer network.
Create and maintain technical service bulletins, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
Support Warranty teams by verifying technical failures and providing expert recommendations.
Carry out any other duties relevant to the role as required.
Beneficial Skills / Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical support role within the automotive sector.
IMI Level 4 qualification.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
Experience using diagnostic equipment and engineering data logging tools.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
Experience working with electric and/or hybrid vehicles.
Master Technician status, engineering qualification, or equivalent technical experience.
Previous experience supporting dealer networks or field service operations
