How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Field Service Engineer (Domestic Appliances)

    Covering Mid and North Wales - based in Wales

    Excellent opportunity for an Electro Mechanical Engineer to join a close-knit, family-run business offering full product training, a great work-life balance and a local patch with no stays away or weekend work.

    On offer is a varied field-based role where you'll receive specialist training on the company's products while working across a local customer base.     This well-established company is continuing to grow and is looking to add another Field Service Engineer to its experienced team.     The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include travelling to residential properties across the Midlands to service, maintain and repair a range of domestic appliances, including white goods, TVs and kitchen appliances.

    The ideal candidate will be an Electro Mechanical Engineer with experience working on small electro mechanical equipment such as white goods, coffee machines, vending machines, ATMs, printers or similar products. Full product training will be provided.

    The Role:

    Service, maintenance and repair of domestic appliances
    Covering residential customers across the middle and north of Wales
    Monday to Friday, flexible working hours (8.5-hour day)
    The Person:

    Electro Mechanical Engineer
    Experience working on small electro mechanical equipment (white goods, coffee machines, vending machines, ATMs, printers or similar)
    Full UK Driving Licence
