Would suit someone from a precision engineering / metrology / CNC background who is has a passion for ensuring higher quality standards are maintained throughout the business.

This is less man management / ISO management focussed, the core focus is to be the key contact for ensuring quality standards are consistently met on components going out of the door. We need someone who is ambitious to really own the function and continue to improve processes where possible.

*

Could suit a Quality Engineer or Lead Inspector who is looking to progress further. This a fantastic opportunity to develop your career.

Excellent working culture within a business who have made significant investment and are continuing to grow as a group.

Salary: c£50,000 to £55,000 as a guideline but there may be wriggle room for the right individual with proven experience.

Quality Manager Activities & Responsibilities:

Acting as the key contact on all matters quality related. The business manufacture a range of low volume, specialist components across a range of sectors. A strong background working around different inspection processes would naturally lend itself well to this position.

The team consists of a select few Inspectors who are skilled / independent so this is less man management driven, Likewise, ISO / QMS aspects are typically managed at a wider group level so there is only occasional involvement within this area,

*

You will be responsible for liaising with customers on quality related queries, improving processes, managing quality documentation so a strong technical background is needed.

*

Look to the future and identify ways to ensure quality remains high as the business continues to scale further.

*

Whilst you wont be hands on, knowledge of CMM's / Calibration equipment is needed.

Required Skills & Experience as Quality Manager:

*

Proven quality experience within a precision engineering environment. This could include experience as a Senior Inspector, Quality Engineer, or existing Quality Manager.

*

Comfortable with various technical documentation that relates to quality.

*

An attitude to want to keep progressing and making an impact. We do need someone who is ambitious in nature as the business are growing and scaling as a group.

* A formal engineering qualification/apprentice trained would be an advantage.
