Salary: c£50,000 to £55,000 as a guideline but there may be wriggle room for the right individual with proven experience.

Quality Manager Activities & Responsibilities:

Acting as the key contact on all matters quality related. The business manufacture a range of low volume, specialist components across a range of sectors. A strong background working around different inspection processes would naturally lend itself well to this position.

The team consists of a select few Inspectors who are skilled / independent so this is less man management driven, Likewise, ISO / QMS aspects are typically managed at a wider group level so there is only occasional involvement within this area,
*
You will be responsible for liaising with customers on quality related queries, improving processes, managing quality documentation so a strong technical background is needed.
*
Look to the future and identify ways to ensure quality remains high as the business continues to scale further.
*
Whilst you wont be hands on, knowledge of CMM's / Calibration equipment is needed.
Required Skills & Experience as Quality Manager:
*
Proven quality experience within a precision engineering environment. This could include experience as a Senior Inspector, Quality Engineer, or existing Quality Manager.
*
Comfortable with various technical documentation that relates to quality.
*
An attitude to want to keep progressing and making an impact. We do need someone who is ambitious in nature as the business are growing and scaling as a group.
* A formal engineering qualification/apprentice trained would be an advantage.
