How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Residents benefit from a supportive setting where their choices, preferences, and quality of life are central to everything the home delivers.

    The Ethos

The focus is on ensuring every resident feels valued, respected, and supported, while maintaining their independence and individuality. The Home Manager will play a key role in continuing to build a positive culture where residents and staff feel part of a close-knit community.

    The Role

As Home Manager, you will have full responsibility for the operational leadership of the home, ensuring consistently high standards of care, compliance, and team performance.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Managing recruitment, staffing, and rotas
    • Building strong relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and the wider community
    • Supporting occupancy growth and maintaining the home’s excellent reputation
    • Ensuring the service continues to provide a safe, caring, and enjoyable environment for residents

    About You

We are seeking an experienced care leader with a passion for delivering high-quality residential care.

    You will have:

    • Proven experience as a Registered Home Manager
    • Strong knowledge of CQC requirements and compliance standards
    • Experience within elderly residential care settings
    • A compassionate and confident leadership style
    • Strong organisational and communication skills
    • Experience leading teams and driving quality improvements
    • A genuine commitment to improving residents’ lives

    In Return

    • Competitive salary of £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
    • Opportunity to lead a small, established residential care home
    • Supportive ownership and a stable working environment
    • A close-knit team culture with the ability to make a genuine impact
    • Excellent opportunity for an experienced Home Manager to shape and develop the service
    • Ongoing professional development and leadership support
    • Rewarding role within the vibrant Eastbourne area
